APIX Industrial is a standardized Interface to connect Displays and Cameras over longer distances, fullfilling all the requirements such as high temperature, EMI robustness and longterm supply to our customers. APIX provide a unique value for applications requiring long distance - up to 15m - transmission of uncompressed Video in realtime and full duplex communication over the same cable.. Optionally also the power can be supplied over the same cable for the display or camera subsystem. There are proposed Connectors and Cables to ensure interoperatibility between the connected systems, based on RJ45 / CAT5 or Rosenberger HSD /Leoni DACAR 538.

PoE/PoE+ Single/Quad PSE Controller

The Si3452 is the industry’s most highly integrated quad-port PoE PSE (power sourcing equipment) controller. It supports PSE systems complying with IEEE’s existing 15 W per port PoE standard, as well as the recently-ratified 30 W per port “PoE+” standard.
The Si3461 is a single-port, IEEE 802.3at D4.2 compliant, Power over Ethernet (PoE) and PoE+ PSE controller IC. The Si3461 and its comprehensive reference design simplify development efforts, reduce system costs, and eliminate specification compliance risks for designers of a broad range of systems with embedded Ethernet ports requiring the higher power capabilities of IEEE’s new PoE+ standard.

10-bit 2.5 Gsps analogue to digital data converter

e2v announced the production of a 10-bit 2.5 Gsps analogue to digital
converter incorporating 5GHz analogue input bandwidth for operation over the
full L-band and S-band frequencies; the first in a family of pin-compatible
10-bit analogue-to-digital data converters (ADCs).
e2v’s EV10AS150ATP Series provides 10-bit 2.5 Gsps performance of 60 dB spurious free dynamic range (SFDR) and 52dB of Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR), IMD3 of 60dBc and an Effective Number of Bits (ENOB) of 8.1 bits at an unprecedented 2.5 Gsps for direct sampling in intermediate and high RF sampling applications including: high speed test instrumentation, automatic test equipment (ATE), high speed data storage, software defined radio, radar and flight simulators and wideband satellite receivers. Rabbit Expands MiniCore Family of Ultra-Compact, Low Cost Wired and Wireless Networking Modules

Available in pin-compatible wired and Wi-Fi versions, the family now includes
the Ethernet RCM5760 and Wi-Fi RCM5650W. The new modules offer increased memory for data intensive applications such as building automation and security applications where it is necessary to store large amounts of data. The products also allow a customer to wirelessly update firmware from anywhere an Internet connection is available to reduce maintenance costs.
The MiniCore family provides a rich embedded feature set on an ultra-compact mini PCI Express form factor. Its small size makes it easy for customers to place wired or wireless network connectivity anywhere on a mother board. The family includes the pin compatible and interchangeable wired RCM5700, Wi-Fi RCM5600W, wired RCM5760 and Wi-Fi RCM5650W. Systems developers can easily interchange MiniCore family products to tailor connectivity for any given application.

Redpine Signals announced the the integration of ultra low power 802.11n
Lite-Fi™ SoC products with the Analog Devices’ Blackfin processor, enabling a complete video streaming solution with 802.11n Wi-Fi® connectivity. The integrated solution includes the Blackfin ADSP-BF561 and the Redpine 802.11n module RS9110-N-11-04. The Redpine RS9110 802.11n chipset is interfaced to the Blackfin processor via a memory mapped interface. A uClinux™ operating system runs on the processor and the solution demonstrates full throughput and compliance to the single stream modes of 802.11n, including WPA2 security modes. The technology harvests the necessary power from its surroundings: for
example, from linear motion, light, or differences in temperature. The amount of
energy obtained in this way is enough to send a wireless signal a short distance
and perform a task, e.g. turn on a light.

Efficient energy converters, ultra-low-power electronic circuitry and a reliable wireless protocol characterize the technology. High Frequency Inductors for Core Power Applications
|

|
Inductor selection in high current core power applications is based on a need
for high peak current ratings and low high frequency losses. These two
requirements lead designers in different directions resulting in a compromise
solution. Designers are forced to select low inductance values to reduce
inductor size (and ensure fast transient responses which results in high ripple
currents needing to be absorbed by the inductor increasing losses) or select
higher inductance values to reduce the ripple current and losses - but at a
sacrifice of inductor size, efficiency and transient responses.

Seven new Tactile Switches

W+P PRODUCTS launched 7 new series tactile switches with high safeguarding
against failure. The new product line (series 505,506,508,514-517) provides a
wide range of sizes and various options. Four new series are miniature tactile
switches, which need only little space on the PCB. Various fitting caps are
available as well. The mini switches require an area on the PCB of only 2.9 x
4.00 mm, the minimal component height is 1.5 mm. The maximum size of the
switches’ footprint is 12 x 12 mm, the maximum component height is 13 mm.

New Piezo Keypads for use in extreme ambient conditions

With its new piezo keypads, Schurter provides key panels that are suitable
for use in outdoor applications due to their ability to resist extreme ambient
conditions. The keypads fulfill the IP69K protection class and have a reliable
operating temperature from -25 to +85°C. They are available as a number block with 12 or 16 keys and with an aluminium front. Point illumination may be integrated into the individual key fields as optical feedback or for user navigation. The operating panel can be designed in several colours. The keypads are free of mechanical parts and easy to clean. The metal surface, which has an IK05 impact strength, makes the keypad highly resistant to impacts.

Simple – modern, the new compact case family Minibox 34

Besides a new design for end customer applications, an easy way to directly
assemble Eurocards was also needed. With the new Minibox 34 this need is
fulfilled without any compromises. Not only common can Eurocards be inserted,
but also due to additional division extrusions, it is possible to directly
insert different backplanes at the same time.
This enclosure can be configured in different sizes by users. Its simple construction allows the use of it as a desktop case, wall mounted box or in combination with telescopic rails. Because of standard IP40 protection and the possibility to upgrade to IP65, it can even be used in adverse conditions. The standard version of Minibox 34 is also protected by the basic EMC level which can also be upgraded.
